what a deal!

I walked past Brooks Brothers on my way to work this afternoon. They're having a sale.

Golden Fleece Performance Polos 3 for $119, regularly $59.50 each

As I walked on, I got to thinking that that was a lot of money for 3 shirts and that they better be made of gold! It's basically getting one free. Which still doesn't make me want to buy them.

By comparison, Ralph Lauren's start at $75!

I also found them at:
Lacoste, where they also start at $75. But there's a cute polka-dotted one on sale for $49.99.
Banana Republic is more my price range. There you can get them for $29.50 when you buy 2 or more!
And finally, at Target, they are much more affordable! $9.99 is definitely in my price range!

I'd like to add that I don't personally wear polos outside of work. I don't think they look good on me. shrugs.

I just had to write about Brooks Brothers because I think it's totally preposterous that they charge that much for shirts. And we have customers who shop there and were excited about said sale.

Ridiculous!

It's also ridiculous that I'm still up writing about this when I should be sleeping because I have to be out catching the bus to go to work before 8 a.m. tomorrow!

Good night!

there, and here

I'm constantly running across things that I think would be fabulous to blog about, but, as you know, I seldom do.

...My coffee panel project is now going through June 4, so my new last-day-of-work is June 6.

...I miss living downtown.

...I was in Westlake Center this week. I was on the down escalator and this girl with red hair was on the up escalator. We looked at each other and then turned around to have a conversation. She was my server at Lola on Saturday morning. It was so fun to see her. It's like, I finally know people in Seattle when it's time to leave. Weird.

...I love brunch at Lola. There's not much better than their garlic-smashed potatoes!

...Weird is spelled weird and I always spell it wrong. Why is that?

...Friends are getting married, having babies, breaking up, changing careers, remaining in their current careers, etc. I remain: single, unanchored by any specific career, clueless about what I really want to do, poor, etc. I try to be thankful for what I've got.

...For many years, I read [only] romance novels. One day, I was like, "This is so dumb!" and stopped reading them. I didn't read for a while because I couldn't settle on a new genre. I've started reading again. I read a book about travel, a book about cooking, a book about travel, a book about religion, 2 more books about cooking. I still have a bookmark in Pride & Prejudice. I've seen the movie - I know how it turns out. I just can't seem to finish the book. So I'll move on to the next book about cooking and see what happens after that.

...It's time for bed. I've still got stuff to write about, but I'll save it for another post. Good night.
