Busy weekend and I need to recover!
Friday night, Jodie & I went to Flying Fish in Belltown. Rumour has it that Emeril eats there when he's in town. We had Banana-leaf Wrapped Mahi Mahi with diced yams and shitake mushrooms in oyster sauce. She had a mojito and I had a glass of chianti and we each paid $22. Yeah, it was expensive and I was still hungry when we were done. shrugs. I would definitely go there again. After dinner, we wandered around Belltown with thoughts of stopping in somewhere for another drink. But nothing looked like we had to go there and we ended up at Whole Foods. I forget that it's only 7 blocks from my apartment! I bought red Gerberas and pineapple and a salad and she went a little crazy over the gluten-free section. I was home by 9-ish so I watched Spaceballs. I really enjoy that movie! :)
Saturday, I slept in then spent 7 hours in the computer lab at school. Unfortunately, I am no where close to being done with any of the 3 projects that are due this week. :( Once I got kicked out of the computer lab, I went to Barnes & Noble and ate supper and bought The Graphic Design Visual Dictionary because I had a coupon and wanted to buy something. I am positive I will use it.
Sunday morning, I was out of bed at 3:15 and at the Seattle Art Museum at 4:40. Yes, AM! Volunteered there from 5 - 9, mainly as a greeter, taking tickets and handing out maps. Our supervisor sent me and the other girl out to look at the museum and in the 45 minutes we were away from our post, we only looked at the 3rd floor galleries! I really want to spend more time there! I stopped for a mocha at Caffe Ladro on my way home, then got my Mini Cooper and went to meeting. Andrew, Eleanor, Keren, Anna, Beth & I went to World Wrapps then I dropped off my car and did laundry. I took pictures for my Digital Type project and went to bed while it was still light. Weird!
Oh, and I made new friends at SAM - Rian & Courtney & Cab (?). I kept thinking that Courtney was the f.h. but I'm not sure. Rian was totally my best friend and it was kinda cute and kinda creepy. I DO attract the really strange, the drunk, and the gay... Oh, and also I met a guy named Mark who lives in Belltown and thinks we should go to a wine tasting together. If only I could remember where the place was or what he looked like?!
This morning, I was at work at 4:10 AM. I worked until noon, then lunched at Cheesecake Factory (took dessert home with me), talked to Becky on the phone, then had a nap. When I woke up, I felt very allergic and still do, even though I'm at school working on my stuff. (Yeah, right. I'm actually posting right now...)
I am working in Studio 7 because: 1) I didn't feel like walking to North Campus and 2) I had to meet with Doug to "approve" my schedule for next quarter, strange tho it may be! I have discovered that I don't really like the computers in here or the setup and just might wander down the street for better working conditions...
My reason for going to work told me that his 4-year-old daughter had a sleep over this weekend with her 5-year-old cousin and that he didn't feel very rested. I just couldn't bring myself to ask about his daughter's mother/father(?) but I remembered that when I first started working I had the feeling that he was not single. Figures!
The girls were wearing their really cute spring clothes and sandals today. It's around 70 and clear and sunny and really nice in general and I am inside. Grrr!
And not only am I inside, but I am not working on my tourism brochure because I am feeling a little lost about it. SO MUCH TO DO!!!!!
Guess I should get working?
