this, that & a few other things

No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, just the internet. ('Tho to some, they are the same thing...)

I handed in my last final on Wednesday, 6/13. It felt amazing to finally be done. Last quarter was rough!

Here are my grades:

Digital Illustration A-
Computer Drawing A-
Digital Typography B+

For a GPA of 3.7. YAY!!!!! :)


On 6/16, Mom & Dad & A & the girls flew in. We spent Sunday at all-day meeting.

Monday was a quick tour of downtown, including a stop at my store. Lunch with Mom's friend Connie, then a tour of Starbucks headquarters. To kill time, the whole family came to my place. No it's not big enough for all of them! Dad went downstairs to Starbucks to get out of the way. We went to B&C's for dinner. (yum!)

Tuesday we went to the aquarium, then wandered the waterfront and ate lunch at Red Robin. (exciting, eh?!) Then we stopped at the Mariners team store on 4th to pick up tickets for the game. $35 for the 6 of us to get into the game. (!) Which would have been great if we'd been able to go on the bus and not eat! But that was not the case and it ended up being a bit of an expensive evening. However, we sat in the Center Field Bleachers and got a great view of the game. The M's lost that night. :(

Wednesday we got off to a late start and spent ALL day at the zoo. It's a very nice zoo and they have 4 giraffes, but it took a long time to get thru. Supper on the eastside before going to prayer meeting.

Thursday, I got up early and picked up Top Pot donuts and took them to the eastside for breakfast. Mom & Dad left for Walla Walla with D & E. AS had been running a temperature so we took it pretty slow that day. We went to B's store then lunch at Chipotle before a Target run. I took the girls back to the house and went back downtown to pack up my stuff for conference. Back to the house for leftovers with B. We did a late evening tour of a Renton firestation with Rick. That was fun. We got to see them leave on a call while we were there.

Got up early Friday morning. I took B's car to go pick up B and we met B & A & the girls in North Bend and caravan-ed to Walla Walla from there.

And it seems I've run out of battery power with which to finish this post, so I'll have to write more later!
